    Pyrénées

Are you looking for something different? Some new landscapes to explore? Some rides off the beaten tracks?

RideAbility invites you to the Pyrénées! Every spring and autumn, Joseph is going back “home” to Cerdagne in the Catalan Pyrénées. It’s a great opportunity to discover with a local, fully qualified guide on hand some beautiful, wild and unridden tracks.

    The location:

Cerdagne sits at 1600m between the Spanish border, Andorra and the Mediterranean sea. It’s also the sunniest part of France, with on average 300 sunny days a year, making it a great spot to ride until late in the autumn.

There are very few mountain bikers around and meeting other riders on the trail is very unlikely… no braking bumps here! Full of singletracks, with a gentle relief and a very dry soil which soaks up water very quickly… this is mountain biking nirvana! The terrain is ideal for Enduro rides (75% downhill, 25% uphill, technical tracks) but there are some great Cross country (50/50%, easier ground) loops as well. There are plenty of bikeparks dotted around (Les Angles, La Molina, La Quillane, Vallnord), so it’s possible to organise a 100% Downhill trip too.

There are loads of other activities around (hiking, canyoning, horse riding, paragliding, thermal baths, shopping in Andorra…) for when you’re not riding or for those who don’t ride.

    The accommodation:

As we know that you can love riding bikes AND enjoy good food, RideAbility invites  you to stay at Cal Pai, a guest house well known for it’s charm and great food, and owned by Françoise… Joseph’s mum! A friendly and warm welcome is guaranted in a very special place.

If you’d prefer to handle the cooking yourself there’s also the Gîte du Presbytere, a self-catered house, just on the other side of the street.
